Open Door Family Planning relocates to Madison St.

Beginning January 6, 2020, patients at Open Door Family Planning will receive care in a new location. Services previously provided at 905 S. Walnut Street clinic will relocate to Open Door’s 333 S. Madison St. location in downtown Muncie.

Providers, services available, hours, and insurance networks will be unaffected.The public is welcome to an open house in the new space on January 9th from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Open Door’s Madison Street health center houses multiple medical, dental, behavior health, and social services. With the co-location of family planning care, patients will have access to all services at one site, often in the same visit.

Open Door Family Planning operates with funding from the federal Title X grant program. Title X clinics create access to family planning and preventative health services for everyone, including underserved populations. Services include women’s health exams, STD testing and treatment, and contraceptive care.

More than 2,400 patients received contraceptive care at Open Door Family Planning in 2018. Nationally, nearly 4 million patients received services at a Title X clinics annually.
